We are blessed to be able to host the second annual South by Southwest (SxSW) Calvary Chapel Worship Conference in October of 2026 here at Calvary Chapel of El Paso in El Paso, TX. The conference will be Friday-Saturday October 23-24 starting in the morning on Friday with registration at 8:30 a.m. and ending Saturday by 12:30 p.m. to allow travel back in time for Sunday services. The cost will be $60 which will include 2 meals (lunch and dinner on Friday), a continental breakfast on Saturday morning, and a conference T-shirt.
This year's theme is "Walking In Humility" taken from Micah chapter 6...
"6 With what shall I come before the LORD, [And] bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old? 7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, Ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn [for] my transgression, The fruit of my body [for] the sin of my soul? 8 He has shown you, O man, what [is] good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:6-8 NKJV
There will be 4 main sessions (2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday) taught by Calvary Chapel pastors accompanied by times of worship (2 on Friday and 1 on Saturday) led by Calvary Chapel worship teams from the El Paso and New Mexico region. In addition, there will be 4 workshop breakout times with multiple options available for each session covering both practical and spiritual aspects of worship. Our heart is to give all team members from the musicians and vocalists to the sound techs and media teams an opportunity to be refreshed and encouraged in their roles.
Workshop offerings and speakers are being finalized but there will be practical workshops for individual instruments (Electric/Bass/Acoustic Guitars, Piano/Keys, Drums/Percussion), vocals (Lead/Background/Harmony), and Back-of-House (Sound, Presentation Software, Livestreaming).
